RNeasy Lipid Tissue Mini Kit
The RNeasy Lipid Tissue Mini Kit includes QIAzol Lysis Reagent for lysing fatty tissues and other types of tissue, and RNeasy spin columns for purifying up to 100 µg of high-quality RNA. The kit can be automated using the QIAcube Connect. Tissue samples can be conveniently stabilized using RNAprotect Tissue Reagent (nonfatty tissues only) or Allprotect Tissue Reagent, and efficiently disrupted using a TissueRuptor or TissueLyser system.
QIAzol Lysis Reagent
QIAzol Lysis Reagent is optimized for lysis of fatty tissues. The standard QIAzol protocol provides an easy-to-follow procedure, combining QIAzol lysis with standard homogenization methods and isopropanol precipitation.
QIAshredder
The QIAshredder homogenizer consists of a unique biopolymer-shredding system in a microcentrifuge spin-column format. Cell or tissue lysate is loaded onto the QIAshredder homogenizer placed in a collection tube and centrifuged. The homogenized lysate is then collected. In general, similar yields and quality of RNA are obtained as with rotor–stator homogenization (see figure "Comparison of RNA yields").
