Dr. Rebecca Yee, Chief of Microbiology, Assistant Professor of Pathology, George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences
Dr. Rebecca Yee is a board-certified clinical microbiologist and Assistant Professor of Pathology at George Washington University, where she also serves as Chief of Microbiology and Director of the Clinical and Molecular Microbiology Laboratory Sections at GW Hospital. With a PhD. in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Yee brings a deep expertise in infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. A 2023 ASCP 40 Under Forty honoree, Dr. Yee plays an active leadership role in national professional groups, including the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI), advancing diagnostic excellence and antimicrobial stewardship on a national scale.
