Is the QIAsymphony RNA Kit compatible with stabilized samples?
Yes, the QIAsymphony RNA Kit is compatible with stabilized samples. We recommend stabilizing tissue samples with RNAprotect Tissue Reagent or AllProtect Tissue Reagent, or by flash-freezing. Cultured cells can be lysed directly in cell culture dishes, or after pelleting. Alternatively, cells can be stabilized using RNAprotect Cell Reagent.

QIAsymphony RNA Kit
The QIAsymphony RNA Kit enables automated purification of total RNA, or total RNA including miRNA and other small RNAs, from 1–96 samples on the QIAsymphony SP. Total RNA can be purified from animal cells, tissues, or FFPE tissues, using very small amounts of starting material (≥100 cells) up to 1 x 107 cells or 50 mg of tissue.
