The QIAsymphony Connect is an automated system for nucleic acid purification using magnetic particle technology "(Figure 1. QIAsymphony Connect workflow using magnetic particles)". It builds on the proven performance of the classic QIAsymphony platform and automates all steps of the extraction workflow, including lysis, binding, washing and elution, helping reduce hands-on time and improve consistency from run to run.
Ideal for use in regulated environments with in vitro diagnostic (IVD) extraction workflows, the system supports reliable processing of a wide range of sample types, including challenging and low-input materials, and enables efficient batch purification to help laboratories manage increasing sample volumes and complexity "(Figure 2. Tube carrier)". Primary tube handling, built-in barcode tracking and automated process control support end-to-end sample and process traceability, while central user management and seamless connectivity with LIMS and QIAsphere improve efficiency. Enhanced extraction performance and a new elution process help maximize nucleic acid recovery and concentration "(Figure 3. Magnetic plate)", supporting high-sensitivity applications such as liquid biopsy and precision oncology assays "(Figure 4. Eluate drawer)".
Choose between QIAGEN-validated workflows or customizable protocols to tailor nucleic acid extraction to your needs. For IVD applications, the validated extraction workflows support consistent performance and regulatory compliance. Guided, software-controlled maintenance and an easy-to-clean workdeck help maintain system integrity, while prefilled reagent cartridges and consumables reduce the risk of contamination "(Figure 5. Prefilled reagent cartridges)".
The QIAsymphony Connect uses magnetic particle technology to automate nucleic acid purification. Most samples are lysed in an integrated lysis station with controlled heating and shaking, after which nucleic acids bind to magnetic particles and are transferred through a series of wash steps to remove contaminants before final elution. An array of magnetic rods enables controlled capture and movement between reagent wells, supporting efficient batch processing of up to 24 samples in parallel. Integrated liquid handling and automated mixing ensure consistent conditions throughout the workflow, enabling reliable purification of DNA and RNA from a wide range of sample types. The system is designed to support labs with hands-off, pre-optimized and controlled extraction workflows for reliable and reproducible extraction. Integrated liquid handling, magnetic separation and robotic transfer enable precise, automated processing within a closed system. Built-in barcode scanning and inventory management support accurate sample tracking and correct loading of consumables, while the intuitive touchscreen interface provides real-time system control and workflow visibility.
