EndoFree Plasmid Kit update: more sustainable and quicker DNA preparation for transfection

PDF (2.85 MB)
The updated QIAGEN EndoFree Plasmid Kit delivers faster, more sustainable plasmid DNA preparation for transfection by replacing Triton X-100 with a REACH-compliant detergent and shortening a key incubation from 30 minutes on ice to 5 minutes at room temperature. The kit now achieves extremely low endotoxin levels (as low as 0.001 EU/µg DNA, 2–40x below vaccine-relevant limits), including for challenging low-copy plasmids. Validation in robust HeLa cells, endotoxin-sensitive CHO cells and primary human CD3+ T cells shows high transfection efficiencies with no adverse impact on cell morphology. This makes the updated kit well-suited for demanding transfection workflows, particularly in sensitive or primary cell systems, while supporting lab sustainability and efficiency goals.
