DNeasy PowerBiofilm Kitは、化学的および機械的な溶解技術とインヒビター除去技術（IRT）を組み合わせることにより、最も困難なバイオフィルムにおける非効率的な細胞溶解という問題点を解決しました。 IRTは、フミン酸、金属、塩および農薬などバイオフィルムに存在する典型的な濃縮された阻害物質を除去し、微生物マットを含むあらゆるタイプのバイオフィルムから これらを含まないDNAを効率的に単離することを可能にしました。

Biofilm DNA was isolated from a variety of locations. NanoDrop provided DNA yield. Agarose gel (1.2%) was used to assess quality. Each biofilm sample provided high-quality, high yield DNA when processed with the DNeasy PowerBiofilm Kit.
