Important: The settings and instrument method files provided on this page should only be used for Pyrosequencing analyses set up with PyroMark Q24 Software and PyroMark Gold Q24 Reagents.
Import a downloadable instrument method file in PyroMark Q24 Software
- Access the available downloadable instrument method files below or under the "Resources" tab on the PyroMark Q24 product page.
- Click the instrument method file that corresponds to the method number printed on the label of the cartridge to be used.
- Save the instrument method file to the computer running PyroMark Q24 Software.
- In the PyroMark Q24 Software, open the "Instrument Method" dialog box from the "Tools" menu.
- Click the "Import" button and locate the downloaded instrument method file.
- The downloaded instrument method file will now appear in the "Instrument Methods" dialog box under "Methods provided by user" and can be selected in the dropdown list when creating a new Run Setup.
Manually create new instrument method files in PyroMark Q24 Software
- Open the "Instrument Method" dialog box from the "Tools" menu.
- Click an existing instrument method, e.g., "PyroMark Q24 Method 001 Rev. A created 2008-04-23" which is already implemented in the PyroMark Q24 Software 2.0.
- In the table below, find the dispensing pressure and pulse time settings that correspond to the method number printed on the label of the cartridge to be used.
- Enter the dispensing pressures and pulse times in the corresponding fields of the "Instrument Method" dialog box.
- Optional: enter information in the notes field, such as file name and date.
- Click "Save As" and save the method with a new name (e.g., PyroMark Q24 Method 0003).
- When creating a new Run Setup, select this new method (e.g., PyroMark Q24 Method 0003) from the instrument method dropdown list.
