The QIAscreen HPV PCR Test is a clinically validated, real-time, PCR-based assay that detects the 15 high-risk HPV types using the highly conserved E7 region in the HPV genome.

The HPV genome contains early (E) and late (L) genes. The L1 gene can be deleted in cervical cancers and lead to false negatives in L1-specific PCR tests (1). The QIAscreen HPV PCR Test targets HPV’s conserved E7 gene, helping to reduce false negatives (2).
