Dr. Peter Kaspar

Dr. Peter Kaspar has more than 40 years of experience in the Diagnostics and the Life Science industry. He founded Magellan bioConsult in 2011 after retiring from the bioMérieux SA Executive Committee as Head of the Microbiology Unit and Head of Global R&D. He spent a significant part of his career with Roche Diagnostics (formerly Boehringer Mannheim GmbH) in Europe, Latin America and the U.S. Dr. Kaspar also held former roles as Chief Officer of Technology and Business Development at FIND (a Geneva-based non-profit organization supporting the development of diagnostics for diseases of poverty) and worked in South America, where he established a development and manufacturing center for tropical disease diagnostics. He is on the boards of several biotech companies in the U.S. and Europe, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Analytical and Life Science Systems Association (ALSSA, now ALDA). Dr. Kaspar holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and studied Biochemistry and Medicine at the universities of Muenster, Berlin and Lille.
