International Marketing Trainee Program

Are you a recent graduate looking to develop expertise in effective marketing methods – and to see firsthand how a global company operates? In our International Marketing Trainee Program, you'll rotate through several life science marketing departments, working on interesting and challenging projects in cross-functional environments.

Our 18—24 month program is designed to fit your personal interests by providing you with the opportunity to select rotations in 2—3 life science marketing or related functions (Campaign Management, Regional Marketing, Performance Channels, Digital Sales & Experience, Research & Development) plus one compulsory rotation in Life Science Product Management.

You'll gain experience in both day-to-day business and project work, as well as managing your own independent projects. We'll support you with intensive on-the-job training, mentoring by an experienced senior manager, coaching and training opportunities. 
  • Individualized rotation plan 
    • Program duration: 18—24 months
    • Number and lengths of rotations: One compulsory plus up to three freely selectable rotations in life science marketing or related functions with each rotation lasting 6 months. In addition you'll work with sales and production in order to understand workflows and build a cross-functional network. 
    • Home base: Our European operational headquarters in Germany, Hilden (Greater Dusseldorf area)
    • International rotation: You'll have the opportunity to spend your second or third rotation in one of our overseas locations in the U.S. or Poland helping you to better understand interrelations between our different locations and to build a network within our global organization. We provide assistance with finding accommodations and making travel arrangements. Costs for your stays abroad are covered by the program.

You'll need a bachelor's or master's degree in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry.
We're also looking for you to have:

  • Some prior relevant professional experience in marketing from internships or student jobs
  • An open-minded, positive attitude with willingness to be a team player
  • Innovative, customer-oriented ideas
  • Enthusiasm for learning
  • Ambition to take initiative
  • Strong communications skills in English
  • Excellent knowledge of common Microsoft Office applications
