The
artus CMV RGQ MDx workflow combines the EZ1 DSP Virus Kit and the EZ1 Advanced XL instrument for sample preparation and the Rotor-Gene Q MDx instrument for CMV amplification and quantification. The workflow is ready for implementation, and no further clinical validation is required.
Importantly, the Rotor-Gene Q MDx reports final CMV viral load results in International Units (IU) traceable to the 1
st International WHO Standard, meeting 2016 CAP requirements (1). The
artus CMV RGQ MDx Kit targets the highly-conserved MIE gene within the CMV genome, providing quantifiable CMV detection as low as 159 IU/ml and accurate quantification over a broad linear range up to 7.94 x 10
7 IU/ml.
