David Almanzar earned his PhD in molecular biology from the University of Utah, where his research focused on meiotic DNA exchange in C. elegans. He joined Myriad Genetics in 2022 as a Scientist in early research and development, where he works on homologous recombination deficiency, liquid biopsy technologies and MRD assay development, with a focus on developing new approaches for genomic analysis.

Jean-Martin Billard studied biochemistry and molecular and cell biology at the University of Namur, Belgium where he earned his Master’s degree. Since 2017, he has worked at the Institute of Pathology and Genetics (IPG) in Belgium, first as a scientific expert in prenatal cytogenomics and currently as Manager of the Dispatching and Extraction team. He is also currently participating in implementing a pre-implantation genetic diagnostic testing service.

Adrian Syguda holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Ruhr-University Bochum and serves as Associate Director, R&D at QIAGEN. He leads cross-functional development initiatives in laboratory automation and connectivity, combining scientific depth with strong execution to advance innovative, quality-driven solutions.

Fernando Beils joined QIAGEN in 2023 as Senior Vice President, Head of the Molecular Diagnostics Business Area, and member of the Executive Committee, and was named Head of Global Commercial Operations in January 2025. He has worked in various global leadership roles within the diagnostics industry during his career, and most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of the Genetic Testing Solutions Business at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Prior to this role, he spent over two decades at Siemens in commercial, strategy and finance roles, and in his last role as Global Head of the Molecular Diagnostics Business Unit at Siemens Healthineers. He earned a degree in Business Administration from EWA Madrid and the University Mosbach School of Business.

Nathan Susnik holds a PhD in molecular biology from Hannover Medical School. After his postdoctoral fellowship, he worked as a medical writer and associate scientific director. He is now a Senior Marketing Content Manger at QIAGEN, and in his free time, a published author of many short stories.
