Can I measure antibiotic resistance gene expression?
The Microbial DNA qPCR Arrays and Assay Kits do not allow measurement of antibiotic resistance gene expression because reverse transcriptase enzyme is not included. Microbial DNA qPCR Assays have not been tested on cDNA.

Microbial DNA-Free Water
Microbial DNA-Free Water is molecular biology grade, nuclease-free water that has been filter-sterilized and UV-treated to eliminate genomic DNA contamination. Quality of the water is tested by PCR using a panel of Microbial DNA qPCR Assays that are sensitive to bacterial and fungal DNA. If none of the PCR assays give a positive signal using Microbial DNA-Free Water as the template in the PCR reaction, then the lot passes.
