Dominic O’Neil, M.B.A., Director of Microbiome Product Development
Dominic O'Neil has over 20 years of experience in the biotechnology industry. Before joining QIAGEN, he gained molecular biology expertise at several companies, including three years at the Whitehead/MIT Center for Genome Research in Cambridge, MA, where he participated in the completion of the initial draft of the human genome. Dominic joined Digene (which later became part of QIAGEN) in 2004 to work on new technology research and development, focusing on sample preparation and diagnostic applications. In 2011, he joined the QIAGEN R&D group in Hilden to work on solutions for next-generation sequencing. Since 2015, he has been focusing on microbiome extraction and associated workflows, and now leads the R&D group as Director for Microbiome Product Development.
John Paul Chuckalovcak, M.S., Business Development Manager, Molecular Testing, dPCR
Broadly trained in molecular biology and genomic analysis technologies, John has 10 years of experience in support of digital PCR (dPCR) implementation throughout multiple sectors of the biosciences. With QIAGEN, he works consultatively with research and applied testing laboratories in North America to integrate dPCR across a wide variety of applications for the quantification of nucleic acids.
Rose Nash, Ph.D., Director of Research and Development
GT Molecular
Dr. Rose Nash is the Director of Research and Development at GT Molecular, where she oversees their national wastewater monitoring program that services over 100 communities around the United States. In this role, she oversaw the development and testing that led to identifying the first COVID-19 variant of concern ever detected in American wastewater. Previously, Rose served as the R&D Manager at InDevR, a Boulder biotechnology company developing new molecular tools to aid the influenza vaccine industry. Her training includes a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Indiana University, a Doctorate in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and two post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
