When your QIAxcel Connect is finally delivered to your lab, of course you’ll be excited to try it out. Here’s a quick guide on how to unpack your new instrument, where to place it, and get it ready for first use.

One of the best things about owning a QIAxcel Connect is you can now address so many applications, simply by partnering the instrument with the right QIAxcel Kit.

What kits are available? What are they specially designed for? Find out in this video.

When you use a new QIAxcel cartridge for the first time, it’s essential to calibrate the cartridge to ensure that the signal intensity is uniform across all 12 cartridge capillaries.

Watch the video to see how easy it is to calibrate your gel cartridge and set up your gel electrophoresis run.

Your cartridge is already installed, your buffer tray is in its holder, and you’ve logged on to your QIAxcel ScreenGel software. You’re now ready to run a sample.

Here’s how to prepare your samples and markers for your nucleic acid QC or fragment analysis run.

QIAxcel Connect needs very little regular maintenance. You only have to remember three things:

  • Clean your buffer tray every time you use a new gel cartridge from a different type of kit
  • Change your nitrogen cylinder when you get the low-pressure alert
  • Clean your sample plate when it gets dirty

This video shows how easy it is to do all three.
