Product Details

2x PCR TaqNova-RED is a 2x concentrated, ready-to-use PCR master mix that facilitates an easy and rapid PCR reaction setup. The 2x PCR TaqNova-RED solution contains a reaction buffer, magnesium chloride, dNTPs and a thermostable Taq DNA polymerase.

It is supplied with 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0 at 25°C), 200 mM KCl, 0.1 mM EDTA, 2 mM DTT, 0.5% (v/v) Nonident P40, 0.5% (v/v) Tween 20, 50% (v/v) glycerol.

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to incorporate 10 nmol of dNTPs to an insoluble DNA fraction in 30 minutes at 75°C in a 50 μL reaction.

Nuclease contamination None detected

Principle

To set up the PCR reaction, all that needs to be added to the master mix is the template, the primer set and water. This convenient 2x PCR TaqNova-RED master mix reduces the time required to set up PCR reactions and decreases the possibility of contamination, particularly when preparing large volumes of reactions. Moreover, the master mix includes an inner dye and a density reagent, which allows the direct loading of PCR products into a gel.

Procedure

Quality Control

The master mix is free of unspecific nucleases contamination and is extensively tested for PCR applications.

Applications

This is used for standard and specialized applications such as:

  • Amplification of short and medium size DNA sequences
  • Routine and diagnostic PCR
  • TA cloning
  • Multiplex PCR assays
