    TissueLyser Adapter Sets are designed for efficient and user-friendly disruption of up to 48 or 192 samples in parallel using the QIAGEN TissueLyser II.

    The TissueLyser Adapter Set 2 x 24 contains a pair of TL Reaction-Tube Holders, 24-Tube. Each holder holds up to 24 microcentrifuge tubes (2 ml). The use of Safe-Lock tubes is strongly recommended (e.g., Eppendorf 2 ml Safe-Lock micro test tubes).

    The TissueLyser Adapter Set 2 x 96 is for use with QIAGEN Collection Microtubes (racked) and Collection Microtube Caps. Collection Microtubes are 1.2 ml in volume.

    Up to 1 x 109 bacteria are disrupted and homogenized by bead-milling in a guanidine-thiocyanate-containing lysis buffer. After addition of ethanol, the sample is loaded onto an RNeasy Mini spin column. Total RNA binds to the RNeasy silica-membrane, contaminants are efficiently washed away, and high-quality RNA is eluted in RNase-free water.
