Process more plant samples with the high-throughput DNeasy PowerPlant Pro HTP 96 Kit. Recover high-quality DNA from tough sample types, including cotton leaves and seeds, strawberry leaves and pine needles. With this kit, time consuming DNA isolation procedures can be replaced.

Inhibitor Removal Technology eliminates inhibitors resulting in pure DNA that is ready to use in downstream applications including qPCR, Sanger sequencing and next-generation sequencing. Additionally, for samples high in polyphenolic compounds, such as pine and grape leaves, an optional step has been included in the kit with a unique Phenolic Separation Solution. This solution breaks the bonds between phenolic compound and DNA to prevent DNA loss and increase overall yield. DNeasy PowerPlant Pro HTP 96 Kit can be used in combination with other lysis methods and provides DNA ready for downstream applications.

The DNeasy PowerPlant Pro HTP 96 Kit is intended for molecular biology applications. This product is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease.

The DNeasy PowerPlant Pro HTP 96 Kit isolates high-quality genomic DNA from plant samples in a high-throughput format. DNA was isolated from grass (2 µl), strawberry leaf (15 µl), grape leaf (15 µl), and pine needles (1 µl) using a 1% TAE agarose gel.

Using the DNeasy PowerPlant Pro HTP 96 Kit and plant DNA isolation kits from three other suppliers, DNA was isolated from cotton seeds. Isolations were performed according to each manufacturer’s protocols. A 1% TAE agarose gel was used to examine a 2% elution of DNA volume.

Using RuBisCo primers run through qPCR on 1 ng of DNA from pine needles (A) and strawberry leaf (B), both diluted 1:10 and undiluted DNA samples fell within the standard curve (purple lines). The difference between the diluted and undiluted samples was approximately 3 cycles indicating that the samples were free of inhibitors.
