Oliver Nolte, PhD, is the Head of the Diagnostic Department and a member of the extended management board at the Institute of Medical Microbiology, University of Zurich, Switzerland. A board-certified clinical scientist in microbiology (DGHM/BÄMI) and specialist in laboratory medicine with a focus on microbiology (FAMH), Dr. Nolte leads diagnostic services spanning bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, molecular diagnostics, genomics and infection serology. Dr. Nolte has more than 25 years of experience in clinical microbiology and laboratory medicine and is recognized for his work in advancing innovative diagnostic workflows, laboratory automation and molecular infectious disease diagnostics.
