3194 - What DNA fragment sizes are required for the Investigator DIPlex kit?

The Investigator DIPlex kit produces short amplicon lengths (max. 150 for 30 DIPs) so that DIPplex can be used for identification of very challenging samples (highly degraded). To get a full DIPplex profile, you need DNA fragments of at least 160 bp. If your sample contains fragments of max.75 bp, you will not get any positive results. Usually, degraded samples show varying average fragment sizes. Therefore, a positive result is dependent on the quality of each sample.
