Waste Tubes are nonsterile polypropylene 2 ml tubes that are used as collection vessels for waste fractions during centrifugation of spin columns. Waste Tubes offer an eco-friendlier alternative to our standard Collection Tubes since they are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic and can be reused throughout the protocol. They are supplied in all QIAwave Kits, and additional tubes can be purchased in bags of 1000.
Waste Tubes are made from 100% recycled plastic and can be reused throughout the protocol without causing cross-contamination. For every binding and washing step, all you need to do is pour the flow-through into a waste bottle. Then put the spin column back into the same Waste Tube and continue with the protocol.
