Can the QIAcube rotor adapters be autoclaved?

QIAcube and QIAcube Connect accessories are for use with the QIAcube and QIAcube Connect instruments for fully automated sample preparation using QIAGEN spin-column kits. Biobased Rotor Adapters: Same performance, improved sustainability  In 2025, we advanced our sustainable materials goal by initiating a pilot project to transition the QIAcube Rotor Adapter to biobased polypropylene (PP). Designed to deliver the same fit, durability and performance as the current version, the biobased Rotor Adapter offers a more sustainable choice without requiring workflow changes, revalidation or additional testing by the users. The initiative will be certified under the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) Plus scheme, validating compliance with defined sustainability standards. The completion of this project marks an important step toward reducing reliance on fossil-based plastics in our product portfolio.
