Dr. Laurence Armand-Lefevre, Professor of Microbiology and Head of Bacteriology Department, University of Paris Cité and Bichat-Claude Bernard Hospital
Laurence Armand-Lefevre is Professor in Microbiology at the University of Paris Cité, France. She is the head of the bacteriology department at Bichat-Claude Bernard and Beaujon, the University Hospitals, AP-HP, Paris, and works as a researcher at the INSERM IAME Research Center. Prof. Armand-Lefevre has more than 20 years of experience in clinical bacteriology in two hospitals specializing in infectious diseases. Her research activities are focused on the emergence of antibiotic resistance and the impact of antibiotics on the human microbiota as well as on the dissemination of multidrug-resistant bacteria. As a clinical microbiologist, she is strongly involved in the evaluation and implementation of rapid diagnostic methods that improve patient care and contribute to the proper use of antibiotics.
