Can samples other than whole blood be used with the EZ1 DSP DNA Blood Kit?
FAQ ID -1564

No. The EZ1 DSP DNA Blood system is a generic system that uses magnetic-particle technology for automated isolation and purification of genomic DNA from human whole blood samples, for in vitro diagnostic purposes. The system is not for use with tissue or stool samples. It is also not for isolation or purification of bacterial, fungal, viral, or parasite nucleic acids, nor for isolation or purification of RNA. The system performance has not been evaluated for isolation or purification of genomic DNA from buffy coat, cultured or isolated cells, swabs, dried blood spots, or cell-free body fluids, such as liquor, plasma, serum, or urine.
