The EZ1 Advanced XL Virus Card v2.0 is preprogrammed with a protocol for purification of viral DNA and RNA from human plasma, serum, CSF, urine, and respiratory samples using the EZ1 Virus Mini Kit v2.0 on the EZ1 Advanced XL.

Principle

The EZ1 Advanced XL Virus Card v2.0 is a preprogrammed card containing protocols for purification of viral nucleic acids from human plasma, serum, CSF, urine, and respiratory samples using the EZ1 Virus Mini Kit v2.0 and the EZ1 Advanced XL. These protocols provide both on-screen instructions for the operator and operating commands for the EZ1 Advanced XL instrument. Further EZ1 Advanced XL Cards may be purchased at any time — increasing the application range of the EZ1 Advanced XL.

Procedure

EZ1 Advanced XL Cards specify a choice of purification protocols without any manual data entry. Simply insert the EZ1 Advanced XL Card with the desired protocol into the EZ1 Advanced XL Card slot and start the instrument.

Applications

Purified viral DNA and RNA obtained using the EZ1 Advanced XL with the EZ1 Virus Mini Kit v2.0 is compatible with a large number of downstream quantitative real-time PCR assays and thermal cyclers, allowing accurate quantification of a wide range of viral nucleic acids.
