The App. Package, M48, Inf. Dis. is a CD-ROM containing protocols for bacterial DNA purification from culture and primary samples and viral nucleic acid purification from plasma, serum, and CSF samples using MagAttract M48 Kits on the BioRobot M48 workstation. These protocols provide operating commands for the work-station and comprehensive, on-screen instructions for easy setup.

Performance
The App. Package, M48, Inf. Dis. with MagAttract M48 Kits can be used to purify nucleic acids from a broad range of DNA and RNA viruses or DNA from a broad range of bacteria for life science applications (see figure "Highly reproducible purification").
Principle
The BioRobot M48 and MagAttract M48 Kits, with protocols on the App. Package, M48, Inf. Dis., reproducibly automate purification of bacterial DNA and viral nucleic acids. Purification of 6–48 samples per run is efficient and purified nucleic acids perform well in downstream analyses. The BioRobot M48 system provides fully automated purification of nucleic acids using silica-coated magnetic particles, eliminating the need for tedious centrifugation steps. The easy-to-use workstation allows purification of 6–48 samples in a single run. Between processing runs, the worktable can be decontaminated using an integrated UV lamp to reduce the chances of environmental contamination.

Dis. with the MagAttract Virus Mini M48 Kit provides a fully automated procedure for simultaneous purification of viral DNA and RNA for highly sensitive detection in downstream assays, and using the App. Package, M48, Inf. Dis. with the MagAttract DNA Mini M48 Kit provides a fully automated procedure for purification of bacterial DNA. The kits can be used to purify nucleic acids from a broad range of DNA and RNA viruses or DNA from a broad range of bacteria for life science applications. |
