Product Details

The ipsogen BAALC ProfileQuant Kit is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnostic procedures. The kit is for real-time PCR on the Rotor-Gene Q and other real-time PCR instruments. The ipsogen BAALC ProfileQuant Kit provides reagents optimized for reliable and sensitive detection and quantification of BAALC gene transcripts in human cells, relative to ABL control gene expression.

Performance

To ensure highest sensitivity, the ipsogen BAALC ProfileQuant Kit has been optimized to detect ABL and BAALC gene transcripts over a wide dynamic range (see figure " Sensitive detection of BAALC and ABL standards").

Principle

The ipsogen BAALC ProfileQuant Kit is a ready-to-use kit for detection of BAALC gene transcripts using real-time PCR. The kit is based on the amplification and detection of specific BAALC gene transcripts, relative to ABL control gene expression in total RNA (see figures " BAALC gene transcript" and " ABL control gene transcript", and provides high levels of specificity, sensitivity, and reproducibility.
Each ipsogen BAALC ProfileQuant Kit provides 3 standard dilutions for the ABL gene and 5 standard dilutions for the BAALC gene.

Procedure

The first step is reverse transcription of total RNA in a sample into cDNA. The second step is the amplification of cDNA by real-time PCR. Using the ipsogen BAALC ProfileQuant Kit allows detection and quantification of BAALC and ABL gene transcripts. Simply start the reaction using the optimized protocols described in the kit handbook.
