MagAttract Direct mRNA M48 Kit
For automated purification of mRNA from up to 106 cultured cells or white blood cells
The MagAttract Direct mRNA M48 Kit provides automated purification of mRNA on the BioRobot M48 using proven MagAttract magnetic particle technology. Variable elution volumes enable easy optimization of mRNA concentration for downstream applications. mRNA purification and magnetic separation take place in the pipet tips, increasing the efficiency of the procedure.
The MagAttract Direct mRNA M48 Kit is intended for molecular biology applications. This product is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease.
Yields of mRNA using the MagAttract Direct mRNA M48 Kit are highly reproducible for replicate samples. Typically, mRNA isolation from 2 x 106 BJAB cells gives a yield of 2 µg mRNA. Total yield from a sample is dependent on the sample type and condition and the number of actively transcribing cells in the sample.
The MagAttract Direct mRNA M48 Kit suitable for use with a wide range of cell types. The system combines automated purification of mRNA using proven MagAttract magnetic particle technology with the specificity of oligo-dT hybridization and scalable elution volumes, to deliver a highly efficient and cost-effective mRNA purification system for gene expression analysis projects.
Oligo-dT probes are covalently attached to the surface of MagAttract Direct mRNA particles in the presence of Buffer MRL. The mRNA bound to the magnetic particles is then efficiently washed with two different wash buffers to improve the purity of the mRNA. Highly pure mRNA is eluted in the elution buffer provided. Elution volumes may be from 50 µl to 100 µl. Samples are processed on the BioRobot M48 in 1.5 ml or 2 ml sample tubes. Up to 48 samples in increments of 6 samples can be processed per run. The sample source can be from 4 x 105 up to 2 x 106 cells and sample volume can vary from 150 µl to 740 µl.
The purified mRNA performs well in downstream assays, such as real-time RT-PCR on any real-time cycler, and microarray target preparation. The mRNA is also suitable for gene expression analysis applications, including:
