What is the difference between the Fc specific versions of your secondary antibody BioMag particles and the non-specific?

The Fc specific versions of secondary antibody BioMag particles are designed to affect the orientation of the primary antibody when it attaches to the BioMag particle. Since the secondary antibody will only bind with the Fc portion of the primary antibody, the primary antibodies should all be bound “face out” from the particle. Although it is not always necessary to use a Fc specific version of the particles, the theoretical advantage would be more binding sites available for the target antigen.
