La secuenciación del ARN impulsa nuevos descubrimientos, pero las moléculas de ARN, en especial el ARNm y el ARNr, son inestables y sensibles al calor, a la exposición a la luz UV y a la contaminación con ARNasa. Además, dado que los transcriptomas varÃan en función de la especie, el genotipo, el tipo celular y tisular y las condiciones ambientales, las muestras de ARN son muy valiosas en términos de disponibilidad e información.
