Description	This protocol is for isolation of total (genomic and mitochondrial) DNA from buccal swabs, surface swabs, blood swabs, and saliva swabs using the QIAamp UCP DNA Micro Kit. The protocol consists of two parts: part A (lysis) and part B (purification). When the lysis protocol (part A) has finished, continue immediately with the purification protocol (part B).
