Description This protocol is designed for the extraction of total DNA from samples of raw or processed food material using the DNeasy mericon Food Kit, while minimizing the carryover of PCR inhibitors inherent to complex food samples. Column binding conditions are optimized for a maximal recovery of short DNA fragments.
