gDNA is barely or not detectable anymore after UV light exposure alone (without any wipe and cleaning procedure). When a wiping and cleaning protocol is also applied, no DNA can be detected.

Using the QIAcube Connect. Fully automated purification of nucleic acids or proteins using QIAGEN spin kits, such as QIAprep Mini kits, on the QIAcube Connect eliminates the need for tedious manual steps. Sample preparation on the QIAcube Connect follows the same steps as the manual procedure (i.e., lyse, bind, wash and elute). No change in purification chemistry is required.
The features of the QIAcube Connect worktable, which lets you process up to 12 samples, include: 3 tip/enzyme racks for easy loading, a sample tube holder/shaker, bottle racks for your reagents, a robotic arm with sensors and a UV light for decontamination.
