Investigator IDplex GO! Kit
For multiplex direct amplification of 13 CODIS core loci, plus D2S1338, D19S433, and Amelogenin from swabs and papers
The Investigator IDplex GO! Kit is a multiplex application for human identification covering the 13 CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) core loci, D2S1338, D19S433, and Amelogenin. The kit utilizes a modified version of QIAGEN’s fast-cycling plus technology, enabling amplification in as little as 45 minutes. With rapid and reliable results from reference samples such as buccal swabs, as well as buccal cells or blood on papers, the Investigator IDplex GO! Kit is suitable for reference testing in forensic applications and paternity testing.
The Investigator IDplex GO! Kit is intended for molecular biology applications in forensic, human identity, and paternity testing. This product is not intended for diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease. This product is not available in all countries.
The Investigator IDplex GO! Kit utilizes fast-cycling technology to provide reliable results in approximately 45 minutes, which is significantly faster than kits from other suppliers.
The novel Fast Reaction Mix is based on proven QIAGEN multiplex PCR technology that has been further optimized to increase inhibitor tolerance. Assay performance tested in the presence of increasing concentrations of 6 types of inhibitor (humic acid, hematin, tannic acid, indigo carmine, calcium, and collagen) shows high sensitivity and superior inhibitor resistance. This enables the generation of reliable, high-quality results for example directly from blood or for samples on FTA paper.
The Investigator IDplex GO! Kit was validated and evaluated using the GeneAmp 9700 thermal cycler (in standard mode) and the Applied Biosystems 3500 Genetic Analyzer.
The Investigator IDplex GO! Kit uses QIAGEN's fast-cycling PCR technology for the rapid, simultaneous amplification of the 13 CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) core loci, D2S1338, D19S433, and Amelogenin. Carefully designed primers prevent overlap of loci alleles, thereby minimizing the likelihood of misinterpretation.
The 15 polymorphic STR markers (D2S1338, D3S1358, D5S818, D7S820, D8S1179, D13S317, D16S539, D18S51, D19S433, D21S11, CSF1PO, FGA, TH01, TPOX, and vWA), and the gender-specific Amelogenin are amplified simultaneously in a single PCR and labeled with one of the dyes listed in the table (see the table Investigator IDplex GO! Kit dyes and corresponding markers).
The amplified loci then undergo capillary electrophoresis. The results can be analyzed using dedicated software. See the table Technical specifications for more information.
