Sample collection and workflow steps
-
Use the swab to remove secretions from the nostril. A nasopharyngeal swab is also possible. Do not return the swab to the original paper packaging. If immediate testing is not possible, the swab must be stored in a clean plastic tube and tested within one hour.
-
Place the extraction tube in the workstation and add 10 drops of buffer solution.
-
Place the swab in the extraction tube, rotating the swab at least 6 times. Press the tip of the swab against the bottom and side of the extraction tube. Let the tube incubate for 1 minute.
-
Squeeze the tube several times with fingers from outside of the tube to immerse the swab. Remove the swab.
-
Remove the test cassette from the foil and place it on a clean, flat surface.
-
Add 4 drops of test sample into the sample window (S).
Interpretation of results
-
NegativeA colored line appears in control area C. No colored line appears in test area T.
-
PositiveTwo colored lines appear, one in control area C and one in test area T. The intensity of the test line T may vary depending on the concentration of the antigen in the sample. Any sign of a line should be considered a positive result.
-
InvalidIn the control area C, a red line must always appear when the test is performed. If this line does not appear, the test is invalid in any case. Please repeat the test with a new test cassette.
