The RT2 qPCR Primer Assay Service offers comprehensive gene expression services based on RT2 qPCR Primer Assays that are available for every human, mouse, rat, drosophila, and Rhesus macaque gene. Each RT2 qPCR Primer Assay has been experimentally verified to amplify a single amplicon of the correct size with uniform PCR efficiency. In addition, the RT2 qPCR Primer Assay Service offers custom design and verification services enabling analysis of any gene regardless of species. Verified procedures and optimized processes yield high-quality data in a rapid turnaround time.
The RT2 qPCR Primer Assay Service is intended for molecular biology applications. This product is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease.
The RT² qPCR Primer Assay is a SYBR® Green-based quantitative real-time PCR assay for gene expression analysis. Our experimentally verified design algorithm yields gene-specific qPCR assays characterized by uniform and high PCR efficiencies and standardized amplification conditions. Every RT² qPCR Primer Assay is subjected to rigorous experimental verification. Single product amplification of the correct size and high PCR efficiency are guaranteed. The uniform PCR efficiencies and PCR conditions of the RT² qPCR Primer Assays provide an accurate and scalable solution for multiple gene expression analyses.
Recommended sample types and sample collection details are described below.
For all samples, sample collection should be carried out in a timely manner in an RNase-free environment. Please note the minimum amount of starting materials required (see below for requirements for each sample type). If you have less than the minimum amount or your previously isolated samples have been stored differently than we recommend, please contact QIAGEN Technical Services before submitting your samples.
Where total RNA samples are submitted, a minimum of 1 µg RNA per sample is preferred, at a minimum concentration of 50 ng/µl. If samples contain less RNA or the RNA concentration is below 50 ng/µl, contact QIAGEN Technical Services.
We recommend a Bioanalyzer RIN of no less than 7, if a quality analysis was previously performed. QIAGEN will measure RNA concentration and assess the quality of the submitted RNA using an Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer with an RNA 6000 NanoChip.
If the submitted samples are cells or tissue, an RNA Isolation Service is available.
Provide at least 0.5 million (106) cells for each sample (specify number of cells on the submission form). Snap freeze the cell pellets in liquid nitrogen, store samples frozen at –80°C, and ship on dry ice.
Provide at least 50 mg of tissue for each sample (specify the weight and type of tissue on the submission form). Snap freeze tissues in liquid nitrogen. Store samples frozen at –80°C, and ship on dry ice.
