RespiFinder RG Panel: A Multiplex Real-Time PCR Assay to Detect 21 Respiratory Pathogens

Acute respiratory tract infection (RTI) is the most widespread type of acute infection in adults and children and is a significant cause of mortality in immunocompromised patients. The RespiFinder RG Panel is a multiplex PCR assay for the simultaneous detection and differentiation of 21 respiratory pathogens within 4 hours, with the same sensitivity and specificity as singleplex real-time PCR. The assay is performed on the Rotor-Gene Q MDx. Sensitive and comprehensive diagnosis of the causative pathogen(s) can now be achieved within a single workday. This fast turnaround time improves therapy, helps to avoid unnecessary use of antibiotics, and reduces hospital admissions.
In this webinar you will learn about:
  • Diagnostics of acute respiratory tract infections
  • Multiplex PCR for simultaneous detection and differentiation of 21 respiratory pathogens
  • How fast diagnostic methods help improve patient health
