The understanding of the mechanisms of life in a biological system presents unique challenges to researchers, especially when dealing with limited and difficult samples (e.g., samples from FFPE materials).

Thorsten Singer
Thorsten Singer received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Stuttgart (Germany). He joined QIAGEN in 1998 and worked for several years as a Scientist and Senior Scientist in the field of nucleic acid sample preparation. Since 2004 he has been a Scientific Associate Director in the Nucleic Acid Purification Research department, heading the "New Preanalytical Technology" group. Dr. Singer is the responsible R&D coordinator for all contacts and projects in the context of QIAGEN’s Tissue Management activities
