QIAGEN guarantees the performance of all products in the manner described in our product literature. The purchaser must determine the suitability of the product for its particular use. Should any product fail to perform satisfactorily due to any reason other than misuse, QIAGEN will replace it free of charge or refund the purchase price. We reserve the right to change, alter, or modify any product to enhance its performance and design. If a QIAGEN product does not meet your expectations, return it to us. We will credit your account or exchange the product — as you wish.

To place an order 

There is no minimum order requirement. Whether placing your order by telephone or in writing, providing the following information will make ordering fast and easy:

  • Name of institution 
  • Name of department 
  • Purchase order number, or Visa/Mastercard/American Express details
  • Sales tax exemption details (if applicable)
  • Invoice address
  • Delivery address (including level/room number if applicable)
  • Name and phone number of person placing order
  • Name and phone number of end user (if different to above)
  • Catalogue number and description of product
  • Quantity required

To confirm a telephone order in writing, the confirmation should be clearly marked "Confirmation — Do Not Duplicate".

QIAGEN Pty Ltd offers considerable savings to organizations purchasing QIAGEN products under an annual purchase contract. We also offer special quotations for any product required in bulk or large quantities.

Delivery

For orders of available goods placed before 3:00 p.m. EST, delivery is overnight to most places in Australia (we ship from Melbourne) unless otherwise specified. Charges are $39.50 (ex. 10% GST) for orders less than $1,200. Delivery is free for orders over $1,200. Shipping/handling and insurance charges are prepaid by QIAGEN and added to the invoice. No delivery charge with online orders at the QIAGEN Webshop independent of the order value. For express and overnight shipments and dry ice deliveries, accessorial charges are invoiced. QIAGEN reserves the rights to change conditions for shipping and delivery charges.

Prices and terms 

Payment terms for purchases are net 30 days in Australian dollars. Prices quoted are in Australian dollars and do not included GST. The prices are subject to change without notice. All orders are subject to final acceptance by QIAGEN Pty Ltd at the prices in effect at the time of shipment, and are based on QIAGEN Pty Ltd’s sales terms and conditions.

Incomplete and damaged shipments 

If a shipment is incomplete, please retain all shipping documents, containers, and packing materials, and notify our Customer Care department ((03) 9840 9800 or toll free 1800 243 800) as soon as possible (no later than five business days after receipt).

If a shipment is damaged, accept the shipment and retain all shipping documents, cartons, and packing materials for inspection. Note on the consignment note any visible damage at time of receipt. Please report the damage to our Customer Care department ((03) 9840 9800 or toll free 1800 243 800) as soon as possible.

Once a shipment has been shipped, the purchaser becomes the owner of the goods and is responsible for claiming any damage.

Returns 

Our satisfaction guarantee means that if you are not entirely satisfied with the performance of a QIAGEN product we will exchange the product or provide a refund. Simply call our Technical Service department toll-free on 1800 243 066. They can answer any questions about the product and, if you are still not satisfied, issue a Return Authorization Number (RAN) — see below.

Products ordered, shipped, or billed in error can be returned for exchange or credit. Please contact our Customer Care department on (03) 9840 9800 or toll free 1800 243 800 for a Return Authorization Number (RAN) — see below.

Return Authorization Numbers (RAN) 

Return Authorization Numbers enable us to track your return and ensure appropriate credit to your account. If you are returning goods, please be ready to provide the following information:

  • Purchase order number
  • QIAGEN Pty Ltd order reference number
  • Catalog number and description of product
  • Reason for return (so that we can serve you better in the future)

We can then issue a Return Authorization Number and give you instructions on how best to get the products back to QIAGEN. Any feedback or suggestions regarding our return policy can be sent via email, fax, or mail to QIAGEN Pty Ltd, attention to the General Manager.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHALL QIAGEN BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS, DAMAGE, OR EXPENSE DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE PRODUCT, EVEN IF QIAGEN KNEW OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS, DAMAGE, OR EXPENSE.

Product Use Limitations

Some QIAGEN products may be used in clinical diagnostic laboratory systems after the laboratory has validated their complete systems as required by CLIA ‘88 regulations in the US or equivalents in other countries. All due care and attention should be exercised in the handling of the products. We recommend all users of QIAGEN products to adhere to the NIH guidelines that have been developed for recombinant DNA experiments, or to other applicable guidelines.
