QuantiFERON Monitor (QFM) testFor detection of cell mediated immune response in immunosuppressed solid organ transplant patients
QuantiFERON Monitor (QFM) test is an innovative in vitro diagnostic test that detects interferon γ (IFNγ) following incubation of heparinized whole blood with innate and adaptive immune response stimulants.
The QuantiFERON Monitor (QFM) test is intended for in vitro diagnostic use. QuantiFERON Monitor is intended for use in conjunction with risk assessment and other medical and diagnostic evaluations. ReferenceQuantiFERON Monitor (QFM) ELISA Package Insert. Rev. 01. November 2014.
Performance
Use QFM to assess cell-mediated immune response in the immunosuppressed solid organ transplant population.
Principle
After incubation of heparinized whole blood with innate and adaptive immune response stimulants (Toll Like Receptor and T cell receptor agonists, respectively) QFM test detects cell-mediated immune function through the measurement of interferon gamma (IFNγ) in plasma by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
Procedure
The QFM test is performed in stages:
Applications
QuantiFERON Monitor test may be used to detect cell-mediated immune response in immunosuppressed patients who have undergone solid organ transplantation. QFM test is complementary to QuantiFERON-CMV test in this population for posttransplant patient management.
